After about a year of work it”s finally here, our new Aloha uniforms. Noted fashion designer Mamo Howell, known for her quilt patterns,  helped to outfit the band in a pattern that is near and dear to her heart. Her print, called “Roselani” or “Heavenly Rose,” is inspired by her Grandmother”s quilts. The pattern pays homage to the band”s royal past with the Roselani blossoms arranged in a crown-like pattern. While the fresh color scheme, of turquoise and lime, takes the uniforms boldly forward into the future. The Royal Hawaiian Band is the first group to wear this pattern and it is an exclusive design made for the band. Be sure to watch casino jameshallison the band as we debut our bright new uniforms on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Aloha Festivals Parade that extends from Ala Moana Beach Park, through Waikiki, until Kapi‘olani Park. We hope to see you along the parade route!
