The Ocean Connects Us All

The Royal Hawaiian Band presents The Ocean Connects Us All or Ma O Ke Kai E Pili Ai Kākou, a free band concert at Hawai‘i Theatre kicking off an annual tradition that will renew and foster the Downtown gala atmosphere during Aloha Festivals.

The Ocean Connects Us All will honor the legacy of Hōkūle‘a and its current “Malama Honua” voyage around the world. Featured during this special evening will be guest artists John Cruz, Hula Hālau Ka Lā ‘Ōnohi Mai O Ha‘eha‘e, Kawaiolaonāpūkanileo, UH Mānoa Hawaiian Chorus, Hawai‘i Youth Opera Chorus Kūho‘okahi Ensemble, and the singers, dancers and musicians of the Royal Hawaiian Band. New musical arrangements will also make their debut as well as a new original composition, The Fantastic Voyage, by local composer Michael-Thomas Foumai.

This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please contact the Royal Hawaiian Band office at (808) 922-5331.
