Royal Hawaiian Band
Erin Breitenbach received a Bachelor of Music degree in Oboe Performance from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. During her training, she was a free-lance musician and soloist and has performed under great conductors such as Christoph von Dohnanyi, conductor for the Cleveland Orchestra.
Now approaching her seventeenth year with the Royal Hawaiian Band, she continues to free-lance and, on some occasions, has been the principal and section oboist with the Hawai‘i (Honolulu) Symphony, Hawaii (Honolulu) Symphony Pops, and the Maui Symphony.
She is also a private oboe instructor and manages a small group of young oboists at McKinley high School.
